Printable Activities FAQ

Dinosaur Starter Pack – printable PDF cover

Quick answers to the questions parents, teachers and puzzle fans ask us most. If yours is not here, write to us from the contact page.

Who are the printables for?

What ages are they for?

Most kids’ sets come in two levels: Grades 2-4 (about ages 7 to 10) and Early Learners, large print (about ages 4 to 6). The one-picture coloring pages suit ages 4 to 10. We also make puzzles for adults and large-print puzzles for seniors. Every page lists its age range, but you know your child best.

Which printables are free?

Every theme has free printables: the Grades 1-2, 3rd grade and 4th grade math worksheets, the Grades 2-4 crosswords and coloring pages and the one-picture coloring pages, plus a starter pack for every theme. Look for Access: Free on a printable’s page. See them all in free homeschool printables and free coloring pages.

What do the paid sets include?

Each theme also has a Mega Pack: one PDF with every activity of that theme, 97 pages with answer keys. The prices are on the pricing page. Checkout opens soon; until then you can leave your email on any set and we will tell you the day it is ready.

Why do you ask for my email?

You can download a few free printables straight away. After three free downloads in a month we ask for your email address once, and the free printables keep downloading. You get a short welcome email and can unsubscribe at any time. Details are in our privacy policy.

Printing

How do I print a PDF?

Open the PDF and print at 100% (sometimes called Actual size) on US Letter paper. On A4 paper, choose Fit to page. Our printing guide covers the rest.

Do I need a color printer?

No. Most sets come in a color version and a low-ink black and white version, and every puzzle still works in grayscale. Coloring pages are black line art by design.

What paper should I use?

Ordinary printer paper is fine. Use heavier card stock for bingo cards or pages you want to reuse.

Using the pages

Are answer keys included?

Yes. Every puzzle set has answer pages at the end of the PDF: crosswords, word searches, mazes, I Spy, math, sudoku and the adult puzzles. Coloring pages do not need one.

Can I use them in my classroom?

Yes. One teacher may print copies for their own classroom, homeschool group or therapy practice. You may not upload the files to other websites, shared drives or marketplaces. For a whole school, please ask us first. The full terms are on the license page.

Do I need scissors?

Only for bingo calling cards and a few cut-out pieces. An adult should help young children with cutting.
