The turkey does not want to be found this Thanksgiving! In this classic November project, kids disguise a turkey so nobody can tell what it is: a chef, an astronaut, a superhero or anything they can imagine.
What’s inside
- Page 1, the turkey template: a big turkey outline to decorate, with “My turkey is disguised as…” and lines for the name and class
- Page 2, the scene page: a smaller turkey in a frame, so kids can draw a background it hides in
- Page 3, disguise pieces: 12 pieces to color, cut out and glue on: a top hat, a crown, a chef hat, a party hat, a cowboy hat, a wizard hat, glasses, a mustache, a bow tie, a super mask, a super cape and a star badge
- Page 4, 30 disguise ideas with tick boxes, from a chef and a pirate to a robot, a unicorn and a pizza slice
- Page 5, a note for families: teachers send it home with the template, with a line for the due date
How to use it
- Print page 1 (and page 3 if you want the ready-made pieces).
- Decorate the turkey with crayons, paint, paper scraps, yarn, buttons or fabric.
- Write what the turkey is disguised as, and let your child tell the class or the family about it.
Who it is for
Made for kids about 4 to 10, at home, in preschool or in the elementary classroom. The pages are black line art, so they print well on any printer. Print at 100% on US Letter paper (A4 works with “Fit to page”).
