How to play

  • Every row, every column and every box needs each number once.
  • Tap an empty square, then tap a number. On a keyboard, just type it.
  • A number turns red if it repeats. Press Hint if you need one filled in.

Choose a level

  • Easy, 4 by 4: numbers 1 to 4. The best way to learn the rules.
  • Medium, 6 by 6: numbers 1 to 6 with boxes of 3 by 2.
  • Hard, 9 by 9: the classic puzzle with numbers 1 to 9.

How to help a beginner

  • Start with the row, column or box that has the fewest empty squares.
  • Ask: which number is missing here?
  • Praise the thinking, not the speed. The timer is only for fun.
