Writing numbers and understanding them go hand in hand. Every page links the written number with a real amount: children trace the number, count the pictures and color the same number of circles.
What’s on every page
- A big model number with numbered strokes and arrows
- Ten frames filled with the right number of pictures: suns, ducks, bees, fish, stars and more. Numbers 11 to 20 use two ten frames, so children see “ten and some more”
- Three rows of the number to trace
- The number word to trace twice: one, two, three… twenty
- Color the circles: color exactly as many circles as the number on the page
How to use it
- Work in order: 1 to 10 first, then 11 to 20 when your child is ready.
- Count the pictures out loud and point to each one.
- Ask: how many more to fill the ten frame?
- Laminate the pages or use sheet protectors for reusable practice.
Who it is for
Made for preschool and kindergarten, about ages 3 to 6. Print at 100% on US Letter paper (A4 works with “Fit to page”). The pictures are in color, the tracing lines are gray dots, so the pages also look good on a black and white printer.
